UPSC exam criteria and information -:

UPSC conducts a national examination for 24 services under the Central and State Government of India.

The UPSC is authorized by the Indian Constitution to appoint members of All India Services and Central Services Group A and B, and to develop and update testing methodologies for these recruitments with the participation of various departments.

In addition, the UPSC is also consulted on matters related to staff promotions and transfers, as well as disciplinary matters relating to a civil servant holding a civil function.
