Eudora was elegant, fast, feature-rich, and could handle email repositories containing hundreds of thousands of messages. In my opinion, she was the best email client ever written and she has yet to be surpassed. I still use it today, but sadly the latest version of Eudora was released in 2006.

On May 22, 2018, after five years of discussions with Qualcomm, the Computer History Museum acquired full ownership of the source code, Eudora trademarks, copyrights, and domain names.
How does Eudora store email files? Eudora stores each mailbox in a separate MBOX (. Mbx) file. Attachments are stored separately from messages in a separate “attachment” directory.
