According to the statement, the fund will assist with high-starting pre-seed and seed initiatives that promote Web3 and blockchain technology usage. Over 100 companies have already received funding from the fund, including, Splinter lands, GRID, Altered State Machine, Krayon, and Magna.
Aly Madhavji, the managing partner of Blockchain Founders Fund, told Coin telegraph that the venture capital fund could be distributed across more than 200 businesses within the next 12 months.
Speaking about the Blockchain Founders Fund’s criteria and how Web3 businesses can apply for financing, Madhavji stated that it will prioritize initial Web3 businesses that have solid teams and a proven ability to implement their mission. Furthermore, the initiatives must provide goods or services that address actual market requirements and provide obvious paths for long-term income creation or monetization. A clear, viable business strategy that shows a thorough grasp of the target marketplace and rival landscape is also required for the initiatives.
“There is a high degree of rivalry for deals in the sector, legislative ambiguity, and a limited track record of successful projects,” Madhavji said, discussing some of the main challenges in the crypto venture investor environment and how the Blockchain Founders Fund is working to address them. To handle these issues, we prioritize investments in high-quality startups with strong foundations and reliable signs of traction.”
